Parlo di me …

Diplomata in scenografia presso l’Accademia di Belle Arti di Brera nel 1999, ho frequentato un corso biennale di fotografia di reportage ad indirizzo editoriale. Contemporaneamente ho iniziato a lavorare come assistente presso alcuni studi fotografici, specializzandomi negli stili Food e Still-Life e nel reportage di matrimonio. In seguito ho acquisito una buona esperienza nel realizzare ritratti – sia in studio che all’aperto – in particolare di bambini, famiglie, gravidanze ma anche nei più istituzionali ritratti professionali.
La mia filosofia? L’ho imparata da un grande maestro: “È necessario sentirsi coinvolti in quello che si ritaglia attraverso il mirino. Fotografare è mettere sulla stessa linea di mira la testa, l’occhio e il cuore. È un modo di vivere.” (Henri Cartier-Bresson).

… del mio modo si scattare

Quando scatto dei ritratti in studio, soprattutto quelli di bambini e famiglie, mi piace che i soggetti fotografati si sentano a proprio agio davanti alla macchina fotografica: ai bambini propongo giochi o libricini, mentre con gli adulti dialogo, lascio loro del tempo per prendere confidenza con l’ambiente. E lì… inizio a scattare!

Se con le famiglie lascio che gli scatti siano più spontanei, per gli altri ritratti invece – in base al tipo di imagini richieste ed all’utilizzo che ne verrà fatto – preparo prima delle idee che poi propongo, sul set o in fase di progettazione, per immagini più complesse.

Reportage di matrimonio

Il mio approccio al reportage di matrimonio si distingue per uno stile raffinato, intimo ed elegante, capace di catturare l’essenza del momento. Mi concentro sui dettagli – uno sguardo rubato, un gesto semplice – che, fissati in uno scatto, trasmettono le emozioni di quell’attimo irripetibile. Penso che creare una buona connessione con i soggetti sia fondamentale per produrre immagini spontanee, genuine e di grande impatto.

About me

After graduating in Scenography from the Accademia di Belle Arti di Brera in 1999, I pursued a two-year course in editorial photojournalism. Simultaneously, I began assisting in various photography studios, specializing in Food, Still Life, and wedding reportage. Over time, I honed my skills in portrait photography – both in the studio and on location – focusing on children, families, maternity, and professional portraits. My approach to photography is deeply influenced by the words of Henri Cartier-Bresson:

“One has to feel oneself involved in what he frames through the viewfinder. To take photographs is putting one’s head, one’s eye and one’s heart on the same axis. It is a way of life.” (Henri Cartier Bresson)

My Style

When shooting studio portraits, especially of children and families, I aim to make my subjects feel at ease in front of the camera: I offer children games or little books, engage in conversation with adults, and give them time to become comfortable with the environment. And then… I begin to shoot!

While I allow family portraits to be more spontaneous, for other types of portraits – depending on the requested style and intended use – I prepare concepts in advance that I then propose, either on set or during the planning phase, for more complex images.

Wedding Reportage

My approach to wedding reportage is characterized by a refined, intimate, and elegant style that captures the essence of the moment. I focus on details – a stolen glance, a simple gesture – that, when frozen in the perfect shot, convey the emotions of that fleeting instant. I think that creating a harmonious connection with the subjects is important to produce spontaneous, genuine, and impactful images.
